A close call

Almost cancelled my Wednesday Cafe Muzyka gig this morning, for the 1st time. Rach was feeling under the weather, Jasper’s got an ear infection and Rosie’s teething like wildfire. If I worked in an office still, would’ve called in sick for sure but I didn’t want to leave anyone in the lurch either.

Called Arkie to see how things were looking, figured my regulars would understand if show wasn’t on, bur there was already an early crowd of new faces! What to do?! “Go!” says Rach, “it’s just half and hour!”

“I got there only a shade late and played to a great and grateful crowd, buy I did realise that even if I had cancelled they would have understood, regulars or new-folks alike- we’re all parents/carers!

Got home straight after & all was well, and spent rest of the day looking after our awesome kids while Rach got some well deserved rest… when not feeding Rosie (mums are SO busy!)

Now, here’s Jasper from an earlier adventure, proud of his self-made toilet tube binoculars-

While Rosie and I await instructions from our fearless commander-

Like I said, awesome.
