My Library Launch Hats

Played for a couple of hours today as part of the atmosphere for the Moorabool Shire Lerderderg Library Launch. Was asked to do something on theme of community. So I filled a box with hats.

Y’know, how people with different jobs in the community wear different hats?! I already had a few different hats, bought a couple of extra toy ones that were just big enough and borrow a couple from friends. Dave Sharp lent me his hardhat and Bren Luke lent me his uncle’s old Australia Post postie’s hat! Thanks heaps lads.

I set them up on s stand and swapped hats as I sung different songs, forgot to take a photo! But here’s the kids space.

I really enjoy playing libraries, I get a strange sense of satisfaction being noisy where one’s normally not aloud to be. I’ve a few other library gigs coming up, in North Melbourne and Melbourne City during the next school holidays. Hopefully they’ll be as much fun.
