Singing about Dancing (it’s all part of the Act)

Big week this week. As well as lots of other miscellaneous activity to get done I’m playing for the entire junior school of Pleasant St Primary.

Their theme for the term is the Performing Arts, so while I’ll be playing my usual sort of stuff – as a musician – I’m going to incorporate more elements of the other performing arts than usual in these shows. Obviously I don’t want get too heavy, but I think I can demonstrate the difference between having a stage persona and playing as a character. And make it fun!

I played at a couple of schools in Alice Springs last year and I’ve done holiday programs, but this’ll be my first local primary school gig. This field has taken a while to crack but I hope to do many more such shows.

Importantly, for the theme, I love to dance.

I love it, I love it, I really, really do, I love to dance.
